Cedars of Lebanon Triathlon

A triathlon is one of the hardest things you can do. It takes an incredible amount of physical strength and endurance, and it’s really exciting to watch these amazing athletes cross the finish line. If you want to catch all the action, you should come on out to watch the Cedars of Lebanon Triathlon. Whether you know someone racing, it can be fun to get out of the house and watch these athletes achieve their goals. You might just get inspired to do a triathlon yourself.

When and Where

The Cedars of Lebanon Triathlon is going to be taking place on Aug. 25, which is a Saturday. You can see the athletes start off first thing at 8 a.m. It will take them about two hours to complete the entire thing, so it ends at 11 a.m. This means you can see these athletes participate in the triathlon without it taking up your whole day. After you watch, you can go get lunch and carry on with the rest of your day. The event will be at Cedars of Lebanon State Park, so you can even take advantage of all the park has to offer after the race.

What Is a Triathlon?

Never seen a triathlon before? You may be wondering what to expect. Well, it’s a course that involves running, biking, and swimming, so the people who compete need to be in pretty good shape to keep up. First, they start off with a 200-yard swim. Then, they move on to the 9.6-mile bike ride. Finally, they start a 2-mile run. After that, they cross the finish line, where you get to wait and congratulate them.

The Park

After the race, feel free to hang out at the state park for a while. It’s a beautiful area with trees and plenty of vegetation, so there is always shade. Maybe you could even bring a picnic lunch for after the triathlon and enjoy it when the race is over. This is a great idea if you plan to celebrate with someone who completes the triathlon.

The athletes who participate in the triathlon may be able to swim, bike, and run long distances, but most of us rely on a car to get around. If you’re looking for your next vehicle, come to Wilson County Hyundai in Lebanon, Tennessee. You’ll feel like you’re crossing the finish line when you drive off the lot with one of our amazing rides.
