Made with a variety of ingredients, homemade granola can be made with all of your favorite nuts and dried fruits, and can be perfectly curated to satisfy every sweet tooth in the family. That’s why Inspired Taste has come up with this exceptional recipe for homemade granola that is sure to be a hit with your family!
What you’ll need:
2 ½ cups rolled oats
½ cup chopped almonds
1/3 cup of honey
¼ cup of unsalted butter
¼ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup of dried cranberries
¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons of mini chocolate chips

Start by preheating your oven to 350, and line the bottom and sides of a square pan with aluminum foil. Lightly spray with cooking spray. Add your oats and almonds to the baking pan and cook for 5 minutes. Stir this up and then bake an additional 3-5 minutes, and then transfer to a large bowl.
Mix together your butter, honey, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until butter and sugar are dissolved. Pour this combination into the bowl with oats and almonds and mix well. Let it cool, and then add your cranberries and ¼ cup of chocolate chips.
Transfer this mixture to your baking pan and press down into the pan so that the combination will stay together. Sprinkle in your remaining chocolate chips on top, and then refrigerate for 2 hours. Once refrigerated, peel away the aluminum foil and cut into 12 bars. The best way to store these is to keep them in an airtight container at room temperature.
