Part of the Cedars of Lebanon State Forest, the State Park is a 1,139-acre sprawl of wooded land that practically demands visitors to set up camp. Not to disappoint, the park offers 117 campsites with picnic tables, grills, and electric and water hookups, plus 30 tent and pop-up tent sites. A group lodge is also available and can sleep up to 80.
Once you’ve put down stakes – or parked, if that’s your preference – you can start exploring the area’s many natural delights. In the mood for a hike? Pick a path and get moving. There are 8 miles of hiking trails that wind their way through cedar forests and around natural limestone glades. Keep your eyes peeled for a chance to spot local wildlife like fox, deer, squirrels, rabbits, and turkey.
Speaking of wildlife, bird-watching enthusiasts will love the sheer number and variety of species that can be found here, such as indigo bunting, prairie warbler, and yellow-breasted chat. More than 120 bird species have been recorded in the area.

Cedars of Lebanon State Park is located about 31 miles east of Nashville, in Wilson County. You can find the park office and visitor center at 328 Cedar Forest Road, Lebanon, TN 37090. The hours of operation are 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. In addition to the prime camping and hiking opportunities, you can also take advantage of picnic pavilions, playgrounds, a butterfly garden, and more. There is even an 18-hole short disc golf course located in the cedar woods.
