Country music fans will be blown away by the size of this facility and how much there is to see. The building is more than 350,000 square feet and has over 2.5 million artifacts for visitors to see.

If not everyone in your group is a country music fan, no problem. The displays help show country music in the context of American history, so it’s a fun and interesting experience even if you aren’t headed to a show at the Grand Ole Opry after your tour.

Be sure you get a ticket that includes an audio tour to really get all the information about every display you see. Here are some of the classic country music artists’ whose stories you can hear during the audio tour:

  • Jimmie Rodgers
  • Hank Williams
  • Johnny Cash
  • Dolly Parton
  • Garth Brooks
  • Reba McEntire

If you’re hoping to see more information about the country musicians you love today, check out the contemporary gallery space. You’ll see items from Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood.

And everyone will enjoy the interactive elements of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Try out the songwriting areas, music trivia, and giant guitar.

Temporary Exhibits

Of course, there are also temporary exhibits that change frequently. There’s always something new to see on your visit. Right now, there’s a brand new exhibit called Kacey Musgraves: All of the Colors that gives visitors a look into Musgraves’s life with song manuscripts, concert outfits, and childhood keepsakes.

Or check out American Currents: The Music of 2018 to see artifacts from a huge variety of artists that have had a big impact on the last year of country music. You can expect to see everyone from Jason Aldean to Chris Stapleton to the Black Keys’ Dan Auberbach to superstars like Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban.

While you’re there, you can shop for books, music, souvenirs, artwork, gifts, and more at one of the four shops at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. You can also dine at one of the three restaurants in the facility: 2|22, Red Onion, and Bajo Sexto Taco.
