The Hyundai Kona was named Autotrader’s 2021 Ten Best Cars for Recent College Graduates.
The affordable Kona is one of only 10 vehicles to receive the award in 2021. The Kona was redesigned for 2022 and now boasts of exceptional interior materials, balanced driving mechanics, potent available turbocharged engines, and offers commendable fuel efficiency ratings.

Performance
The 2022 Kona SE and SEL trims are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 147 horsepower. This engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The N Line and Limited trims come with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 195 horsepower. This engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Kona N features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 280 horsepower. It is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Kona’s ride performance blends comfort and excitement. It handles well around corners and soaks up bumps with ease.
Features
The 2022 Kona’s interior features quality materials and a range of standard and available tech features. Standard tech features include an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay®, two USB ports, remote keyless entry, and more. Optional features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, navigation, an additional USB port, a digital gauge cluster, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, and much more. The Kona seats up to five people throughout the spacious interior.
